COVID-19 Updates for SBTA and SELA


  • Face masks are not longer required on campus however individuals might still choose to wear face masks if you feel safe.  Face masks must still be worn on public transport, residential care facility or hotels, aircraft, cruise terminal and indoor music festivals with more than 1000 people.
  • QR codes are no longer required on campus
  • Household and close contacts do not need to self-isolate if they do not have any symptoms, but must follow NSW Health household and close contact guidelines.
  • People who test positive to COVID-19 must continue to self-isolate for 7 days from the date of their positive test and follow the testing positive to COVID-19 and managing COVID-19 safely at home advice.
  • Unvaccinated international arrivals are no longer required to undertake hotel quarantine. These passengers now follow the same guidelines as fully vaccinated international arrivals and take a rapid antigen test within 24 hours of arrival.

Welcome to our virtual learning environment

Due to the safety of our teachers and students, The Academy will continue to deliver distancing learning (online learning). Students who do not wish to use public transfer and choose to continue studying from home can still access their lessons via their online learning platform.

If you do not have access to a computer and internet, you can access this from our campus on level 2, 401 Sussex Street which will remain open from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday. Please ensure that if you choose to come to the campus, it is mandatory that you use the QR code to log , observe physical distancing rules, wear a mask at all times when on campus and log out when leaving the campus.
