Students who successfully complete this course will be issued with the AQF (Australian Qualifications Framework) FNS60217 Advanced Diploma of Accounting qualification. Students who partially complete this course (a minimum of one unit of competency) will be issued with a Statement of Attainment from FNS60217 Advanced Diploma of Accounting qualification for the unit/s of competency successfully completed.

To study this course at SBTA, the students must:
- be18 years and over
Completion of both FNSSS00014 Accounting Principles Skill Set and FNSSS00015 Advanced Accounting Principles Skill Set;
Completion of FNS50215 Diploma of Accounting;
Completion of FNS50217 Diploma of Accounting.
- Minimum score of upper intermediate level of English such as:
- IELTS 5.5 or equivalent or an English proficiency of upper intermediate level or above from any NEAS accredited ELICOS provider.
This packaged qualification is delivered over two and a half (2.5) years. Course duration consists of a total of 128 weeks which includes 90 contact weeks plus 38 weeks of holidays.

The FNS60217 Advanced Diploma of Accounting qualification (CRICOS Course Code 098038J) is packaged with FNS40217 Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping qualification (CRICOS Course Code 098036M) and FNS50217 Diploma of Accounting (CRICOS Course 098037K).
- Students who successfully complete Stage 1 will be issued with the FNS40217 Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping qualification and can then progress to Stage 2.
- Student who successfully complete Stage 2 will be issued with the FNS50217 Diploma of Accounting qualification before commencing Stage 3.
