 Assessment start times
Posted By: Helpdesk Administrator On: 29 Apr 2009 09:15 AM
Details Assessment start times are now standard each week.

Based on student feedback, we've now standardised the commencement times for assessments each week.

Exams
If your class is doing an exam, it will be held on Thursday. The first hour of your lesson will be revision provided by your trainer. The exam will then start at the following times:
AM Shift - 10am
PM Shift - 2pm
EV Shift - 6pm

Assignments
If your trainer has set an assignment to be handed in, the day the assessment is due will be a normal lesson day. Your assignment will be due to be submitted at the following times on the day that the trainer has advised you the assignment is due.
AM Shift - Assignments due at 12pm
PM Shift - Assignments due at 4pm
EV Shift - Assignments due at 8pm

Exam Conditions
Students are reminded that exam conditions apply. Exam conditions specify the types of behaviour that are not acceptable within the exam room. Failure to observe these conditions mean that a student will be automatically deemed as failed, have the assessment paper withdrawn, and asked to leave the room.

Mobile phones

  • Mobile telephones must be switched off at the start of the assessment -- placing a mobile into silent mode is not acceptable
  • Mobiles must not be handled during the assessment for any reason

Talking/communicating

  • Students must not speak or communicate in any other way with anyone inside or outside of the exam room

Cheating

  • Cheating of any form will not be tolerated
  • Examples of cheating include
    • Reading of notes
    • Copying from another student
    • Use of unauthorised equipment (mobile, iPod, PocketPC, etc)

Arriving late

Students must arrive within 30 minutes of the scheduled assessment commencement time otherwise they are not to be admitted. This is to ensure that you don't disturb other students that have arrived on time.
