This qualification is suitable for self-directed individuals who identify and apply project management skills and knowledge in a wide variety of contexts. Individuals may be part of a project team, with no direct responsibility for overall project outcomes and they would support wider project operations using project tools and methodologies to selectively to support organisational or business activities.

Students who successfully complete this course will be issued with the AQF (Australian Qualifications Framework) BSB41515 – Certificate IV in Project Management Practice qualification. Students who partially complete this course (a minimum of one unit of competency) will be issued with a Statement of Attainment from BSB41515 – Certificate IV in Project Management Practice qualification for the unit/s of competency successfully completed.
If you complete this qualification you could gain a role such as:
- Contracts Officers
- Project administrators
- Quality officers and
- Small business operators
Whilst this qualification has NIL entry requirements as per the national register for training, to enrol into this course at SBTA, students must:
- Be 18 years and over
- Completed Year 12 or overseas equivalent;
- Minimum score of upper intermediate level of English (IELTS 5.5) or equivalent OR
- An English proficiency of upper intermediate level or above from any NEAS accredited ELICOS provider.
The course duration of this course is 52 weeks (1 year) which is made up of 36 contact weeks plus 16 weeks of holiday breaks.

Mode of Study
Minimum of 20 hours (minimum 15 hours face-to-face plus 5 hours distance learning per week)
After achieving the qualification, students can study the BSB51415 Diploma of Project Management qualification.
Course fees for this qualification is $6,580 which is made up as follows:
- Term fee: $1,645 x 4 terms
- Total course fee: $6,580
- Enrolment fee: Student Visa $250 (Other visas $100)
- Materials fee: $100
